Fire Risk Assessment

The fire risk assessment is a systematic and structured assessment of the risk to life in the premises for the purpose of expressing the current level of fire risk, assessing the adequacy of existing fire precautions and determining the need for, and nature of, any additional fire precautions.

We are BAFE third party accredited to Scheme SP205 for Life Safety Fire Risk Assessments. Our Fire Risk Assessors are retired Fire Officers and Graduate members of the Institute of Fire Engineers.

Our Lead Assessor was formerly Head of Business Fire Safety for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Services, he also has a Level 4 diploma in fire safety. This qualification applies to those who audit complex premises and venues, such as shops and shopping centres, offices, hotels, residential care homes, industrial units, firework displays and pop concerts.

Our detailed and legally compliant report is carried out in accordance with PAS79: 2012 (Guidance and recommended methodology) and will identify the people at risk, the potential fire hazards, the fire protection measures currently in place and the management of fire safety. Any issues identified will be documented in the Action Plan report that will form part of the Assessment and a Certificate of Conformity is issued with every assessment.
